The Fit Factory, owned and operated by Jessi Corredor, Mike Gee, and Tarrant Anderson, hosted an event to help raise money for breast cancer treatments. They ran a boot camp and charged $10 per participant, they sold Stronger Together t-shirts for $25, and led a 1 mile walk through the town of Englewood, NJ. Vendors also came to the event and sold items to help benefit the cause.
The Fit Factory raised just over $2,500. All of this money went towards the hospital bills for Jessi Corredor’s long-time friend Samantha Muller. Samantha Muller is only 25 years old and was diagnosed with third stage breast cancer just last year. This event helped bring awareness to people of all ages and to encourage them to do self-exams whenever possible. Both Jessi and Samantha grew up together in Bergenfield, NJ. They were classmates, basketball teammates, and to this day are still best friends.
The Fit Factory is located at 100 S. Van Brunt Street in Englewood, NJ. It is a great facility where people of all ages have the opportunity to seek out one-on-one training, small group training, and/or classes. The breast cancer awareness Boot Camp the Fit Factory ran allowed everyone to participate in a variety of strength-training drills. It combined these drills with cardio and up-beat music. Following the boot camp was a one-mile walk, in which the Muller family joined. It was a beautiful day.
