The most anticipated game of the day at the Basketball Needs New Jersey showcase, hosted by Kennedy High School (Paterson, NJ) and presented by The Dribble Drop, was between Franklin High School and Blair Academy. They are both two of the top teams in New Jersey and are filled with talent. Franklin came back to defeat Blair, 66-56.

Both teams are so full of talent that anyone with the ball is a major scoring threat. Blair took an early lead to start the game. Blair’s Dominique Davis and Olivia Miles never disappoint. Both players can get in the paint and pass out to an open teammate. They know how to no-look pass to the post. They can also shoot from anywhere. Darius finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists. Miles had 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 blocked shot. Camille Clarin is a deadly outside shooter who finished with 10 points.

Blair led at the end of the 1st quarter, 20-12. Franklin out-scored Blair in the second quarter, 18-12. At the half Blair had a 2 point lead, 32-30.

Franklin is equally as talented. Diamond Miller had 28 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. She is just unstoppable.

She led the charge in the third quarter that helped Franklin earn and secure the lead. Twin sisters Kennady Schenck and Keona Schenck can be counted on for outside shots. Keona finished with 14 points. Freshman Christina Midgette is a 5’10” guard with a nice shot. She had 11 points.
