Any basketball fan in New Jersey knows the famous Bre Cavanaugh!

It is impossible not to know the varsity starter who led Blair Academy to Four MAPL and State Championships. The tenacious freshman guard at Fordham University who recently scored a career high of 37 points against Saint Louis. Bre averages 17.1 points per game and has scored 410 career points so far. She gets to the foul line more than anyone else on her team due to her aggressive play. And, for the same reason, leads the team with 33 steals.

Bre has an aggressive training regime to stay in shape and makes push ups, back flips, and anything else you can think of look easy. It probably will not come as a surprise that Bre also wrestled for a year at Blair Academy.

If you have had the honor of speaking to Bre you know that she is not only a hard-working, talented basketball player, but she is also very respectful and kind.

Bre recently started a blog on-line to share her story. She describes in detail her experiences as a foster child before being adopted by her parents, Dan and Bernadette Cavanaugh. The hardships Bre went through shaped who she is today. It is an eye-opener to the foster care system and the treatment of youth.
