Tip Off between the Rutherford (Jill Griggs) and Paramus (Ore Agoro) game.

Rutherford High School girls’ basketball defeated Paramus High School, 50-26, at the Dumont Holiday Tournament.

Both Paramus’ Ore Agoro and Rutherford’s Jill Griggs matched up on both ends of the court. Both players dominate in the paint, do a great job boxing out, and pulling down rebounds. Griggs finished with 12 points and Agoro had 4.

Paramus’ Nicole Birdsall did a good job distributing the ball to teammates. She had 7 points. Rutherford’s Emilia McCarthy had 14 points and Jaeli Torres had 16. Torres is good from the three-point line and had four threes. Rutherford is good at scoring from both inside and outside. They can swing the ball to the opposite wing for an open three-point shot, but also look for Griggs inside.
