For the first time since 2007, the Point Boro Panthers will head to the Central Jersey Group II state title game. Backed by 4 TDs from standout running back Brandon Cirpriano, the top-seeded Panthers dominated their way to a 27-6 victory over the fifth-seeded Manasquan Warriors.

The Panthers appeared to be facing a deficit as Manasquan was able to bring the ball down to the half yard line in the second quarter. The Point Boro defense, however, would hold the Warriors out of the end zone as they would force a fumble. From there, Point Boro would take the lead and not look back. James Fara hit Brandon Cipriano with a 67-yard pass and the Panthers took a 7-0 lead.

Cipriano would score on 3 other occasions in the game. He scored his second TD as he ran the ball in from the 10-yard line to put the Panther up 14-0 with 4:39 to play in the first half. His third TD would come just before halftime as he scored with 56 seconds left in the half to put the Panthers up 21-0.

The Panthers would eventually win the game 27-6 with the last TD coming on a 10-yard pass from Fara to Cipriano. The Panthers will now travel to the campus of Rutgers University where they will play for their first state title since their last undefeated 12-0 season in 2005.
