The Battle in Bergen County’s Three-Point Shooting Winners

Martyne Miller is one of the winners of the 3 point competition hosted by the Battle in Bergen County.

The Battle in Bergen County hosted their annual three-point shooting competition for girls of all ages. The players have the opportunity to go to The Shooting Lab in Ridgewood, where they are given the opportunity to shoot 25 three point shots at rapid speed. They take five shots in each corner, five shots on each wing, and five shots at the top of the key. 5th grade and younger participants were permitted to shoot from a modified three-point line and compete against other people in the modified range. However, only 4th and 3rd graders chose to shoot from there. All 5th graders participating chose to shoot from the regulation three-point line. The modified range is inside the regulation high school three-point line.

3rd Grade The third grade winner is Tess Sirkakovsky from Orangeburg, NY. All third graders competed at the modified three-point line and Tess was the winner with 8 made shots.

4th Grade Kendralee Ramirez from North Bergen, NJ on from the modified three-point line. She scored 15 baskets. Gabby Higgins from Secaucus, NJ won from the regulation three-point line with 7 made.

5th Grade Olivia Palladino from River Edge, NJ ( shown first in the group of pictures) came in second place with 9 made baskets. Both Leah Harmon from Clifton, NJ and Riley Scagliotti from River Edge, NJ tied for first place with 10 baskets each.

6th Grade Natalie Stoupakis from the Young World Raptors and Isabella Gilmour from River Edge, NJ both tied with a score of 12 baskets each. Natalie won the tie-breaker round.

7th Grade Dana Phelan from Tappan, NY, won with a score of 9 baskets.

8th Grade Brianna Perez from Dumont, NJ, Shannon Phelan from Tappan, NY, Logan Nyemchek from Congers, NY, and Justise Jones from Teaneck, NJ all tied for first with a score of 10 baskets each. Brianna Perez won the tie breaker round.

9th Grade Sofia Battista from River Vale, NJ and Pascack Valley High School, won with a score of 9 baskets.

10th Grade Jaelyn Wohlrab from Secaucus, NJ and Immaculate Conception (Lodi), won with a score of 9 baskets.

11th Grade Martyne Miller from Westwood, NJ and Westwood High School, won with a score of 10 baskets.

12th Grade Khay’la Latimer from Teaneck, NJ and Immaculate Conception (Lodi), won with a score of 11 baskets.
