The Shore Conference tournament quarterfinals will tip off at 11am this morning.
#1 Manasquan 70, #8 Middletown South 53
Dara Mabrey and Faith Masonius scored 19 points apiece as Manasquan advanced to the SCT semifinals with a 70-53 win over Middletown South. The Warriors will take on St Rose.
Middletown South only trailed 28-23 at the half and were very much in the game late in the third quarter. Manasquan used a 13-2 surge to finally take control and create some breathing room. They were able to get aggressive and press to force multiple turnovers. Mabrey led the charge by getting to the foul line consistently in the fourth.
Alexandra Balsamo led Middletown South with 18 points, and Isla Brennan contributed with 15 in the loss.
#5 St Rose 74, #4 Rumson Fair Haven 60
St Rose opened the game on a 10-0 run and never relinquished the lead to earn a 74-60 victory over Rumson Fair Haven. The Roses clinched a trip to the SCT semifinals where they will take on Manasquan on Monday night.
Elizabeth Marsicano led the way with 21 points. Marsicano knocked down 3 three pointers. Ellyn Stoll supplied 12 points and came up with multiple steals on defense. Alex Pendergrass pulled down 10 boards in the win.
Tori Hyduke exploded for a game high 27 points for Rumson. Hyduke scored 14 of the 27 in the 1st quarter. Bulldogs center Hannah Scanlan was held to just 12 points.

#3 St John Vianney 65, #6 Neptune 59
