We’re back in action for another big day of holiday basketball. Mt St Dominic’s is the place to be on this Tuesday. No 3 St John Vianney will take on a Rutgers Prep team that has been off to a slow start. The Argonauts will certainly have their hands full as the Lancers are riding plenty of momentum. No 5 Rumson Fair Haven will try to keep their unbeaten record intact against Franklin.

KSA Tournament – Walt Disney World, FL
No 6 Middletown South 49, Brentsville District 41
Middletown South won their first game in the KSA National Tournament in Walt Disney World. Senior Alexandra Balsamo led the way with a game high 22 points. Balsamo also went 4/4 from the free throw line. Sophomore Isla Brennan added 10 points and nailed 2 three pointers. Samantha Keenan and Kayla Richardson both chipped in with 5 points each. The Eagles are now 4-0 on the season.
No 2 Manasquan 66, Seneca Valley, PA 40
Manasquan is now 4-0 on the season after opening the KSA National Tournament with a dominating 66-40 win over Seneca Valley, PA. Dara Mabrey was once again on fire, finishing with a team high 23 points. Mabrey nailed four three pointers in the game. Senior Stella Clark added 9 points, and Carly Geissler chipped in with 4.
Score At The Shore Tournament – Southern Regional
Notre Dame 56, Southern 51
Southern Regional dropped a heartbreaker to Notre Dame 56-51 in the Score At The Shore Tournament. Freshman Kaela Curtin had a very impressive day for the Rams, finishing with 20 points and 5 rebounds. Curtin also dished out 2 assists, and ripped off 4 steals. Colleen Brady turned in another solid effort with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Shauna McHale had 9 points and 8 rebounds in the loss.
Roselle Catholic Tournament
Keyport 57, Hoboken Charter 23
Giana Piccini and Shannan Devlin scored 10 points each as Keyport defeated Hoboken Charter 57-23 in the Roselle Catholic Tournament. Hannah Thomson also poured in 7 points in the win.

Morristown Beard 51, Freehold Boro 39
Lady Wave Tournament – Long Branch
Jackson Liberty 42, Pt Pleasant Beach 32
Jackson Liberty held on to earn their first win of the season over Pt Pleasant Beach. The Lions got a strong performance from Kristina Donza. Donza finished with 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Lauren Bungay posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Hailey McGee poured in 7 points and 5 rebounds. McKayla Hughes led Pt Pleasant Beach with 15 points.
Ocean Twp 45, Lakewood 26
Ocean Twp picked up their first win of the season, beating Lakewood 45-26. The Spartans put the game away with a 20-11 second half. Sarah Dente was the leading scorer for Ocean with 11 points and 2 three point shots. Morgan Bartlett added 9 points, and Sanaa Finley contributed with 6. Iyala Donaldson led Lakewood with 6 points.
Barnegat 46, Long Branch 45
Barnegat improved to 4-1 on the season after defeating Long Branch. Sophomore Shannon McCoy led the way with 15 points. Ashley Toner poured in 14. Ginalee Erskine finished with 5. Quayniece Page had 10 points and 4 assists for Long Branch. Hydeinah Moore finished with 9 points and 17 rebounds in the loss.
Monmouth 62, Brick Twp 41
Diamond Classic – Wilmington, DE
No 1 St Rose 44, Cumberland Academy, PA 29
St Rose advanced in the first round of the Diamond Classic Tournament in Delaware. The Roses put two players in double figures as Mikayla Markham led the way with 13 points. Lucy Thomas also poured in 12 points. Ellyn Stoll and Lauren Lithgow both added 6 points each in the win.
Mt St Dominic’s Tournament – Caldwell
No 5 Rumson Fair Haven 62, Franklin 60
Hannah Scanlan scored 27 points and Tori Hyduke had 18 as Rumson Fair Haven overcame a 47-38 deficit after the third to earn a 62-60 win. There were four technicals called in the fourth, with three going against Franklin. RFH took a 60-51 lead after a fast break layup from Scanlan. But an 8-1 run sparked by two Diamond Miller threes cut the game to 61-59 with 10 seconds left. Both teams contributed a free throw each after a quick foul from Franklin, and the final technical called against Scanlan. Rumson is now 5-0 on the season.
Bishop Ahr 44, Marlboro 22
Freshman Emma Boslet scored 17 points to lead Bishop Ahr in a 44-22 win over Marlboro. Brianna Jackson added 13 points to help pace the offense. Jessica Broad led Marlboro with 8 points in the loss.
Rutgers Prep 61, St John Vianney 41
Leilani Correa scored 13 of her game high 23 points in the second half as Rutgers Prep picked up a huge early season win over St John Vianney. It was a big night for an Argonauts team that suffered a loss to Franklin just last week. Gabi Redden poured in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Jahysni Knight added 8 points, and Madison Stanley chipped in with 6. Senior Kimi Evans led St John Vianney with 15 points and 4 rebounds. Maddie Doring netted 8, and Sajada Bonner contributed with 6.
Warrior Classic – New Egypt
Raritan 41, New Egypt 25
Howell 45, Trinity Hall 33
Howell picked up another win today, defeating Trinity Hall 45-33. The Rebels put two players in double figures as Lauren Kocsis finished with 14 points, and Rachel Gazzola added 13. Liz Capestro also added 9 points. Katie Loder was the leading scorer for Trinity Hall with 8 points, and freshman Caitlin Wingertzahn added 6.
South Amboy 43, Henry Hudson 26
South Amboy defeated Henry Hudson 43-26. Kelsey Kuhn was the leading scorer with 19 points. Alissa Bikowski also got into double figures with 13. Devon Adams led Henry Hudson with 9 points and 5 rebounds.
