Scoreboard Central Tues 2/2

We have a full set of games tonight in the Shore Conference. 4 huge divisional matchups highlight the schedule. The season is coming down to the wire in these next few weeks. Class A South, Class B South, and Class B North are still very much undecided. St John Vianney is close to getting possession of the A Central crown, but Manasquan would love to play spoiler tonight. The Warriors took the Lancers to overtime in the first meeting.

Tues 2/2

No 5 Middletown South 67 at Freehold Boro

Stephanie Karcz scored 27 points as Middletown South picked up a win over Freehold Boro in Class A Central.  Alexandra Balsamo also had a huge night by pouring in 24 points. Sierra Strong was the leading scorer for the Colonials. She led the way with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Sydney Przygoda also added six points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

Freehold Twp 39 at Howell 37 – 4PM

Harlie Kneler led Freehold Township with 15 points as the Patriots won a tough battle against the Rebels that came down to the wire. Sarah Hughes also scored 10 points for the Patriots and Brianna Cucinelli added 5 points in the win. Gianna Ciaccarelli scored a team high 10 points and 4 rebounds for Howell. Becca Hamilton contributed with 9 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists for the Rebels.

No 4 Rumson-Fair Haven 59, Holmdel 40

Hannah Scanlan scored 12 points to lead Rumson Fair Haven in a 59-40 win over Holmdel in Class A Central. Sophomore Tori Hyduke also added 10 points. Jen Inman had a strong night for Holmdel with a game high 21 points in the loss.

 Pt Boro 56, Trinity Hall 50

Megan Hughes and Ally Lassen each contributed with 17 points for the Panthers. Amy Bergquist also added 10 points for Pt Boro. The Panthers are now 11-4 on the season and now move into a three-way tie for the Class B South title.  Bridget Andree added 13 points and Kathryn Kwapniewski netted 12 for Trinity Hall in the loss.

 Colts Neck 56, Matawan 47

Colts Neck picked up a 56-47 win over Matawan in Class B North. Lola Mullaney led the Cougars with 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 three pointers. Jaime Prestigiacomo poured in 15 points off the bench, and Cara Volpe added 10 points. Tracey Brereton led Matawan with 18 points. Briyanah Richardson added 9 points.

Keyport 42, Point Beach 38

Gianna Piccini scored 13 points in the win for the Red Raiders. Alexis Bennett also added 10 points in the win for Keyport. Ashley Kelly led Point Beach with 14 points in the loss.

Shore 37 at Monmouth 32 – 515PM

Morgan Bohnert and Allie Reiser both scored 12 points as Shore defeated Regional Monmouth by a score of 37-32. Halena Martin contributed with 16 points and Kristina Matthews scored 7 points for the Hawks.

Raritan 51 Jackson Liberty 40 – 515PM

Lauren Christ had a huge game with 22 points for the Rockets. Jordan Hymann and Katrina Wojtowicz both contributed with 8 points in the non-divisional victory. Maeve Carney was Jackson Liberty’s leading scorer with 17 points

 Wall 71 Long Branch 59  – 530PM

Katie Hyde had a spectacular night with a career high 30 points. Lauren Karabin and Nora Burdge also got into double figures for the Knights. They each provided 13 and 10 points respectively in the winning effort for Wall. Che’kasha Andrews hit 4 three pointers and scored 26 points for Long Branch. Hydeinah Moore finished with 14 points for Long Branch.

Donovan Catholic 55 at No 10 Manchester 45

Jackson Memorial 70 Brick Memorial 43

Daria Jones exploded for 32 points to lead the Jaguars to a 70-43 win over the Mustangs. Allison Wanzor added 11 points. Dani Evans and Kara Howlett both contributed with 8 points in the win. Cassie Ball paced the Mustangs with 17 points in the loss.

No 7 Red Bank Catholic 45 at No 6 Neptune 38 – 530PMRose Caverly led with 18 points for the Caseys. Maureen Coakley also added 8 points for Red Bank Catholic. Desiree Allen contributed with 16 points and Rahmena Henderson added 9 points for the Neptune Fliers.

Toms River East 46, Toms River North 45

Kaitlin Lister scored a last second layup to give Toms River East a 46-45 win over Toms River North. This was the second time the Raiders defeated the Mariners by 1 point. Lister finished with 14 points. This will set up a winner take all matchup between Toms River East and Southern for the Class A South crown on Thursday.

No 7 Red Bank Catholic 45, No 6 Neptune 38

Red Bank Catholic evened the score by defeating Neptune 45-38 in Class B North. The Caseys and Fliers are now on pace to both get a share of the B North title. Junior Maureen Coakley led the way for the Caseys with 8 points. Tia Montagne chipped in with 7 points. Both Hayley Moore and Katie Rice added 6 points. Desiree Allen led Neptune with 16 points. Rahmena Henderson added 9 points. Brianna Love also recorded 6 points.

No 1 St John Vianney 61 No 4 Manasquan 55  – 630PM

Kimi Evans Fueled SJV with a 24 point performance. Kelly Campbell finished with 11 points, and Tina Lebron added 8 as the Lancers swept the season series from the Warriors. The Lancers improved to 16-1 with the win. Freshman Faith Masonius led Manasquan with 15 points. Stella Clark added 14 points. Dara Mabrey chipped in with 11 points.
