Friday night was a terrific night of girls basketball in the Shore! The action now continues today with 11 games on the schedule. Here are those games, and you can check back later for updated scores and summaries!

Toms River North 75, Manalapan 58

Toms River North picked up a 75-58 non-divisional win over Manalapan. Ashley Tutzauer led the way with 22 points. Freshman Brielle Bisogno poured in another 18 points.  Jenna Paul also got into double figures with 13 points. The Mariners rolled out to a 45-27 halftime lead and never looked back! Arielle Kaplan and Erin Rotondo both scored 11 points each for Manalapan.

South Shore (NY) 44, No 6 Neptune 39 OT

Desiree Allen scored 19 points as Neptune lost a tough one in overtime to South Shore (NY) at the New Years Resolution Showcase in Paterson.  Alexis Bennett added another 9 points for the Fliers. The teams played to a 35-35 tie at the end of regulation. South Shore outscored Neptune 9-4 in the overtime period.

Brick Memorial 48, Matawan 23

Samantha Bialoblocki scored a game high 15 points to lead Brick Memorial to a 48-23 non-divisional win over Matawan. Shauna Bruker had a great game with a double-double, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Cassandra Ball also poured in 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Mustangs in the win. Tracey Brereton led Matawan with 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Pinelands 46, Keansburg 38

Ashley Kline scored a game high 23 points as Pinelands went on the road to defeat Keansburg 46-38 in non-divisional Sophomore Jessie Rising also poured in 11 points. Steph Walters and Cheyenne Lyons both scored 10 points for Keansburg. Pinelands is now 4-3 on the season.

Brick 30, Lakewood 20

Brick Twp got their first win of the season by defeating Lakewood 30-20.

Jackson Liberty 37, Freehold Boro 7

Jackson Liberty picked up their second win of the season by defeating Freehold Boro 37-7. Sierra Strong led the team with 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals. Sydney Przygoda finished with 6 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 steals for Freehold Boro. Stephanie Giardina also contributed with 7 points.

Freehold Twp 40, Shore 24

Freehold Twp picked up a 40-24 non-divisional win over Shore. Harlie Kneler was the leading scorer for the Patriots with 15 points. Breanna Jackson led the Blue Devils with 11 points.

No 9 Southern 43, Toms River South 34

Southern remains unbeaten in Class A South play with a 43-34 win over Toms River South. Bianca Nicolini scored 19 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals to lead the Rams. Morgan Henderson contributed with 9 points and 3 steals. Gabby Davis finished with 8 points and 6 rebounds. Kelly Porter chipped in with 10 points for the Indians.

Delsea 46, Middletown North 41

Glory Morton scored a game high 18 points to lead Delsea to a 46-41 win over Middletown North. Wykira Johnson also got into double figures with 13 points. Delsea trailed Middletown North by 1 going into the 4th quarter. The Crusaders then put together a 14-8 run to close the game and win. Hailee Hallard and Kamani Williams both finished with 12 points each for Middletown North.

No 1 St John Vianney 54, Christ The King 50

St John Vianney got a huge win on the road over Christ The King  in New York. The Lancers have now beaten two powerhouse programs in less than 24 hours and are feeling a lot of momentum right now.

Senior Kelly Campbell led the way with 14 points and 2 three point shots. Tina LeBron added 13 points and 3 three point shots. Freshman Sarah Karpell had another impressive performance with 9 points, all on three point shots.

SJV came all the way back after trailing 14-2 at the start of the game, and 28-25 at halftime. They were able to overcome foul trouble and make big plays in the end.

Ranney 32, Villa Victoria 26

Ranney improved to 2-4 on the season with a 32-26 win over Villa Victoria. Allison Sobieski led the way with a team high 10 points. Sophomore Zahrah Siddiq and Kaitlyn Serpico both chipped in with 8 points. Ranney used an 11 point run to build a 13-12 halftime lead to build their momentum. Mary Zsolway scored a game high 16 points to lead Villa Victoria.
