RUMSON FAIR HAVEN 4, RED BANK REGIONAL 3

Matt Maisto scored three goals, including the winning hat trick to help the Bulldogs defeat RBR and get off to a 2-0 start. Jamie Martin added a goal. Tyler Lubin contributed with two assists in the win. Rumson Fair Haven looks to be an early force in Class A Central.

MATAWAN 5, MANCHESTER 1

Brosen Druhme scored 2 goals and 2 assists to lead the Matawan Huskies to a 5-1 non-divisional opening win over Manchester. Matawan was in control all day and really dominated the Hawks.

HOLMDEL 3, TOMS RIVER SOUTH 0

Leo Nobrega, Sean Gross, and Hunter Chapman all scored goals to lead Holmdel to an impressive victory over Toms River South. Mike Carannate also had an assist in the win. Holmdel could be a surprise in Class A Central.

OCEAN 9, BRICK TWP 0

Ocean quickly proved why they are one of the toughest teams in the Shore, rolling to a 9-0 victory over the Dragons. Santino Harding and Marlhens Nasanes were both on fire  with two goals each.

FREEHOLD BORO 4, ST JOHN VIANNEY 1

The Colonials opened up with a nice victory over St John Vianney. The team really got the offense going quickly. Jake Brower led the way with two goals. Jose Silva and Matt Schertzer also chipped in with one goal each. Freehold Boro looks like an exciting team to watch.

COLTS NECK 1, BRICK MEMORIAL 0

A tough goal from Kyle Trainor was all the Cougars needed to push through a defensive struggle against Brick Memorial. Colts Neck looked very strong in shutout fashion. Mark Fasano and Nick Facendo played well in the win.

MONMOUTH 4, NEPTUNE 3

Bobby Riordan scored the winning goal to help Monmouth improve to 2-0 on the season. The goal broke a 3-3 tie and put the Falcons ahead for good. Both teams were battling back and forth the entire game. Monmouth was able to show great perseverance early in the season.

JACKSON MEMORIAL 4, LAWRENCE 0

Jackson Memorial kicked off the season with a 4-0 shutout win over Lawrence. The Jaguars offense looked to be in mid-season form. Mike Schoener led the way with 2 goals. Andrew Jozwicki and Anthony Nappi each added a goal. Jackson Memorial will be very strong in Class A South.
